Service

Dirt work done
before the concrete shows up.

Grading, fill, pad prep, and drainage across Northwest Arkansas. Get the ground right the first time and everything you build on top of it lasts twice as long.

Most pavement, foundation, and drainage problems start in the dirt. Soft spots, wrong slope, or water running the wrong way will beat up anything you pour or pave on top of it. We do the dirt work first so the job you are really after does not fail from underneath.

Arkansas dirt is a mixed bag. You have red clay that expands and shrinks, river bottom silt that pumps when wet, and rocky Ozark shelf that needs a different approach entirely. We shape, compact, and drain to the soil we are standing on, not a textbook.

How the job runs

  • Walk the site, stake grades, talk through water flow.
  • Strip vegetation, remove root mat and topsoil to firm ground.
  • Cut high spots and haul off spoil, or stockpile if you want it.
  • Bring in fill dirt or crushed stone as needed and work it in lifts.
  • Compact in 6 to 8 inch lifts so the pad holds load.
  • Shape swales, ditches, or French drains to route water off the site.
  • Set culverts and aprons at driveways or road tie ins.
  • Final grade to spec tolerance ready for concrete, stone, or asphalt.

We run dozers, skid steers, excavators, and rollers, and we partner with local dirt haulers and quarry yards for fill and stone. Most residential pad prep wraps in one to three days. Bigger commercial and subdivision work runs on the schedule we build with you.

Why Hire Us

What you actually get.

Drainage Built In

We plan for water before anything gets paved or poured. Swales, slopes, and culverts in the right places.

Lift by Lift Compaction

Fill goes in measured lifts and gets compacted each pass. No dumped pile trick where the pad settles later.

Coordinated Hand Off

Whether we are staging for our own pavers or your concrete sub, the site gets handed off clean and on grade.

Common Questions

Dirt Work FAQ.

Shop pads, barn sites, new driveways, parking lots, pond banks, house pads, and anywhere water is pooling or running where it should not. If the ground is not right, the job on top is not going to last.
Both. We balance cut and fill on site when we can to keep cost down. When more material is needed, we haul in clean fill or crushed stone from local sources.
If you see standing water 24 hours after a rain, soft spots that rut when trucks drive across, or water moving toward your foundation, you have a drainage problem. We will walk it and tell you what to do about it.
Yes, and that is how we prefer it. One crew, one point of contact, and we own the result from dirt to finish surface. If you already have your concrete or framer lined up, we hand off the pad on grade.
